BY USING THIS SOFTWARE, YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The version of PWMinder you are installing is trialware. You are hereby granted a license to use this software for a period of 30 days. After that time, you are required to activate this software and pay the applicable fee, or else discontinue using it. An Activation Code may be used on up to two computers within the same household, for example, the same Activation Code may be used on your Desktop Computer and Laptop.
You are allowed to make copies of this program and distribute it to third parties, provided this software is not distributed for profit. If you distribute this program, you agree to distribute this license, along with this software. You are not allowed to distribute your Activation Code to others, outside of your household. You are not allowed to bundle this program with other products without prior written permission from Ewert Technologies (
1. Ownership of Software
As a licensee, you own the media upon which this software is recorded or distributed and are entitled to use this software, but all rights in, title to and ownership of the original software and all subsequent copies shall be retained solely by Ewert Technologies (www.ewert-technologies.ca). The granting of this license does not constitute a sale of this software or any copy thereof. You are not allowed to make any modifications to, or to create derivative works from any of the files that are used in or that accompany this software.
2. Limited Warranty
This software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, but not limited to, the implied warranties or conditions of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The user must assume the entire risk as to the quality and performance of this software. Should this software prove defective, the user assumes the entire cost of all necessary servicing, repair, or correction. Any liability of the seller will be limited exclusively to a product replacement or refund of the purchase price. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
3. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Ewert Technologies or any of its authorized dealers or suppliers be liable to you or any other party for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, or other incidental or consequential damages) arising out of the use of or inability to use this software, even if Ewert Technologies has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
While all attempts have been made to make the encrypted repository file as secure as possible, any encryption method can be broken, especially if the password is short and/or easily guessable. Please ensure that the password(s) for your repository(ies) is/are at least 10 characters long, and contains upper case and/or lower case characters, and/or numbers. Ewert Technologies accepts no responsibility for repository files that get "hacked".
In addition, ensure that the password(s) used for repositories are remembered, as there is no way to recover a forgotten password, and Ewert Technologies accepts no responsibility for repositories that can't be opened due to forgotten passwords.
4. General
You acknowledge that you have read this agreement, understand it, and that by making any use of this software you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. You further agree that this constitutes the entire agreement between you and Ewert Technologies, which supersedes any prior verbal or written agreement with respect to the matters set out herein. You understand and agree that you have no rights in or to the software except the license specifically granted in this agreement.

PWMinder Desktop is a Trialware (try-before-you-buy) application. You are free to download and try it for free, for 30 days. After 30 days, if you wish to continue using it, an Activation Code must be purchased, and the software must be activated.
Unlike many other software applications, PWMinder Desktop does not force you to pay a yearly subscription fee. Once you purchase an activation code, PWMinder Desktop is yours to use forever! Currently, all future releases (including the upcoming PWMinder 4 release) will be free to upgrade.
PWMinder may be activated on a maximum of two different computers (Windows and/or macOS), using the same Activation Code. In addition, if you ever purchase a new computer, the Activation Code may be transferred to the new Computer.
At Ewert Technologies, Activation Code purchases and payment transactions are handled by FastSpring, which allows payments in most currencies and accepts multiple payment methods, including most major credit cards and PayPal. To purchase an Activation Code for PWMinder Desktop, click on the Buy Now button below. This will take you to the Ewert Technologies Store on FastSpring, where you can complete your purchase. Alternatively, you can access the purchase page from within the PWMinder Desktop application by clicking on Tools->Purchase Activation Code.

Activation
After your purchase has been successfully completed, you will be sent an email that will include your Activation Code.
To activate PWMinder, execute the following step:
- Start PWMinder
- Click on Tools->Activate Software
- Enter the Activation Code (I recommend you copy and paste the value from the email)
- Click Continue
- Enter your Name, a Password and an eMail address. The password you choose will be required if you ever need to re-activate the software. The email address is used to retrieve your password, in case you forget.
- Click Activate
Please keep your Activation Code and password in case you ever need to re-activate your software. If you lose your Activation Code, please contact Support.
Notice to existing users of PWMinder Desktop 2.x
PWMinder Desktop 3.0 is a major new release and requires the purchase of a new Activation Code (old PWMinder Desktop 2.x Registration Codes will no longer work). If you currently have a Registration Code for PWMinder Desktop 2.6 (or earlier), you qualify for a discount on PWMinder Desktop 3.0. Windows
Installation
- Make sure all of the System Requirements have been met.
- Uninstall any previous versions of PWMinder.
- Download PWMinderSetup_JRE_3.x.n.n.exe.
- Double-click the downloaded file to run the installation wizard.
- Click Allow if prompted whether or not to allow the installer to run.
- Follow the steps in the installation wizard.
Running PWMinder Desktop
- Go to the Start menu.
- Go to the PWMinder Desktop program group.
- Click on the PWMinder icon.
Uninstalling
- Go to Control Panel.
- Select Programs and Features.
- Click on Uninstall a program.
- Find PWMinder Desktop in the list of Programs.
- Click on Uninstall.
macOS
Installation
- Make sure all of the System Requirements have been met.
- Uninstall or remove any previous versions of PWMinder.
- Download PWMinder_JRE_3.x.n.n.dmg.
- Double-click the downloaded dmg file.
- Drag the PWMinder icon onto the Applications icon.
- Close the dmg file.
Running PWMinder Desktop
- Make sure that Gatekeeper has been configured to allow Applications from App Store and identified developers, or else open PWMinder and exempt it from Gatekeeper (see OS X: About Gatekeeper for full details).
- Go to Applications in Finder.
- Double-click on PWMinder.app (or use Control-click and select Open, to exempt it from Gatekeeper).
- Add PWMinder to the Dock (optional).
Uninstalling
- Open Finder.
- Open the Applications folder.
- Drag the PWMinder Desktop application icon to Trash.
Linux
Installation
- Make sure all of the System Requirements have been met.
- Uninstall or remove any previous versions of PWMinder.
- Download PWMinder_JRE_3.x.n.n.deb.
- Double-click the downloaded .deb file.
Running PWMinder Desktop
- Find PWMinder in Applications.
- Optionally add to Favourites, to pin the icon to the dash
- Click on the Icon
Uninstalling
- PWMinder can be uninstalled using Synaptic Package Manager
