At Ewert Technologies we are pleased to announce the release of PWMinder Desktop 3.3.0! PWMinder Desktop is a Password Management software for Windows and macOS, that is compatible with both iPWMinder and PWMinder Android.
Version 3.3.0 includes the following updates:
- Updated to Java 17 (17.0.4.1)
- Native support for macOS Silicon
- Removed support for VAqua Look and Feel for macOS Silicon
- Added new Look and Feel: FlatLAF which has both Dark and Light modes
Previous versions of PWMinder Desktop only support Intel processors and used Rosetta to run on Apple Silicon processors. Starting with version 3.3.0, a native Silicon version is available, please see the Downloads section on our website.
The most noticeable changes for version 3.3.0 are cosmetic. The VAqua Look and Feel for macOS is now only available on the Intel version. VAqua was found not to be compatible with Apple Silicon. To make up for that we have now included a new Look and Feel FlatLAF. This Look and Feel looks good on both Windows (as a replacement for System Look and Feel) and macOS and is the recommended Look and Feel for macOS. FlatLAF also includes both a Dark and Light mode.
Other changes in this release are more ‘under-the-hood‘ including updating our build system to use Gradle and updating the Java runtime to 17.0.4.1.
