iPWMinder is a file-based application.  All the passwords you create and manage are stored in a Password Repository file (with a .pwm extension).  This file-based system makes it easier to transfer your Password Repositories between devices and systems.

Before you can start using iPWMinder, you need to create a new Repository.  To create a new Repository perform the following steps:

On your iPhone, or other iOS device, start up the PWMinder App.  Once started you will be presented with the Welcome Screen:

Firstly select whether your want to save the Repository file locally (only on your iPhone) or to Dropbox (where it can be synced with other devices and computers).

Note: to save to Dropbox, you need have Dropbox Integration enabled.

Next, enter a Name for your Repository.  This is the name that will be displayed when view the Repository.  This name will also be used to create the file name for the Repository.  For example, if the Repository name is Demo, the file name will be Demo.pwm.

Next, enter a Description for the Repository. The description is optional, but is useful if you have several Repository files, and to recognize what the Repository contains or is used for (i.e. you might have one Repository for Home, and one for Work, etc.).

Finally enter a Password for your new Repository. The password you use when creating your Repository should be as secure as possible, since it is the password that will be protecting all of your other passwords.

Tip: Use the Password Generator button (next to the password field), to create a strong password. Just make sure to make a note of it, before saving.
Note: Make sure you remember this master password, as it is not stored anywhere, and is required to open your repository in the future.

After entering all of the information, tap on the Save button.
