Product Summary
PWMinder is a cross-platform desktop application that is used to store and manage passwords and other sensitive data in a secure encrypted file.

PWMinder supports Windows 7(64 bit and 32 bit), Windows Vista, Windows XP, Linux, Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and Mac OS X 10.5.2 (Leopard). PWMinder should work on other Windows operating systems as well, but they have not been tested.
Free disk Space
PWMinder requires 5MB of disk space.
Memory
PWMinder requires a that the system have at least 512MB RAM.
Display
PWMinder requires a minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768.
Java Runtime Environment
PWMinder is a Java application and, therefore, requires a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to be installed on the machine. PWMinder requires JRE 6 or higher, (Version 6u10 or higher is recommended). It is recommended to use the JRE provided by Sun/Oracle, as opposed to openjdk, since there are some display issues when using openjdk.
To download and install the latest JRE go to www.java.com. See user guide for more information.
On Mac, OS X 10.5.2 with Java for Mac Update 1 is minimum requirement. Mac OS X 10.5.7 with Java for Mac Update 4 (or higher is recommended) or OS X 10.6 with Java for Mac Update 1 (or higher).
PDF Reader
In order to read the User's Guide, a PDF reader such as Adobe Reader, must be installed. To download and install Adobe Reader go to www.adobe.com.
Upgrade Instructions
PWMinder
- Uninstall old version of PWMinder (see User Guide, for details). NOTE: All settings and repositories will be retained.
- Install new version of PWMinder (see User Guide, for details).
Repository Upgrade
(See User Guide for full instructions.)
- On Mac, make sure the Repository file is not locked.
- Open old Repository using PWMinder 2.6
- The Repository will automatically be upgraded and a backup of the original, will be kept.

Notes:
Initial Release of PWMinder 2.6
New Features:
- PWMinder now supports Internationalization, and has been translated into German and French.
- PWMinder can now import data.
- Some minor User Interface enhancements, especially for Mac OS/X.
- PWMinder now remember and restores previous window settings (window size and location)
- Quick Search on Repository tree.
- Code is now digitally signed.
Changes:
- When starting PWMinder, for the first time, the New Repository dialog, is automatically displayed.
- When creating a new Repository, the filename field is automatically filled, with a suggested location and file name (this can be changed).
- Quick entry of previously used logins when creating a Record
- Creation and Modification timestamps are stored internally, for each Record and Custom Category (this will be used in future enhancements).
- In HTML export, expired passwords are displayed in Red.
- Main Window title, now includes the file name.
- PWGenerator User Interface has been slightly re-designed.

Bug ID: 301.
Issue: On Mac, if a file is locked, it cannot be saved by PWMinder. Files that are read-only on a Windows computer can become locked when copying to a Mac computer.
Work Around: Unlock the file on the Mac, before opening or modifying with PWMinder. -
Bug ID: 132.
Issue: On Gnome Linux, when initially installing, the PWMinder shortcut group does not get created, and the short cuts end up in 'Other' group.
Work Around: Uninstall and then reinstall. The second time PWMinder is installed the PWMinder group is created. -
Bug ID: 133.
Issue: On Gnome Linux, minimizing to System Tray does not work properly. When trying to restore from minimized state, the windows automatically re-minimizes.
Work Around: Disable the Minimize to Tray setting in the Options window, which can be accessed from System Tray icon menu. -
Bug ID: 146.
Issue: Occasionally, the Category name gets truncated in the Repository Tree.
Work Around: Group and Ungroup the Repository Tree (or Expand and the Collapse the Repository Tree). -

Issue: Non-ASCII characters not displayed correctly, after upgrading from 2.5.4 (or earlier) to either 2.5.5 or 2.6
Work Around: Non-ASCII characters will need to be re-entered. -

Issue: In Kagi Registration Module, the 'continue with purchase' message is not translated.
Work Around: None. -

Issue: Auto-Login command String ${login}, ${password}, ${tab} and ${enter}, are not translated

Issue: When using Gnome Linux, with System Look and Feel, mandatory fields are not in yellow.

Issue: In some Look and Feels, the bottom part of the Kagi Registration Dialog module is cut off.
Work Around: Drag to make the dialog bigger. -
Bug ID: 455.
Issue: On Mac OS/X, when accessing the file system to either open or save files, firewall prompts are occasionally displayed, even when PWMinder Application is set to allow incoming connections.
Work Around: Ingore the prompt, or disable the firewall.
